Our Mission & Vision

The mission of Massaponax Baptist Church is to reach people with the good news of Jesus Christ and lead them into a strong relationship with Him. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.

Our church has existed since 1788.  It has many outstanding features. Even though our church has a significant history, it is not a museum, it is a living, worshiping and ministering church body. God has always been faithful to His people. The church as a body of Christ has had but one mission, that being to share the message and love of Christ and to grow believers in Christ. We welcome any who wish to join us as we seek to worship our Lord. Matthew 28:18-20 says: Then Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples  of  all nations,  baptizing  them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember,  I am with you always,  to the end of the age.”
